Performance Rayth Sunglasses: Easy Rider Photochromic Z87+

We’ve never had a tint range like this before. Starting with a Hi-Vis Yellow lens at 87% VLT for where you need that extra visibility, transitioning all the way down to our standard Black 12% VLT when the sun’s shining. The absolute best of both worlds for when you’re out riding or putting in overtime at the site, all while staying Z87+ rated in our Performance Vise frame. This is our best-performing Photochromic eyewear yet.

Wizard-like photochromic lenses are now available for the Performance Line. These adaptive lenses adjust from a clear to dark tint depending on the light intensity in your environment, and boast a wide VLT range at 75%-17%

The Rayth is a welcome addition to the performance line. They feature an ultra-bold shape with sharp lines and a premium fit. The Rayth is a standard-width frame, made compact top to bottom and uses a flat profile lens which results in a sledgehammer tough look. The details on the Rayth are second to none and it is sure to become your new go-to power adder when it comes to eyewear.

Other Rayth features include a modified arm with rubber inserts to prevent wear and hair snags. Furthermore, the Rayth features increased surface area in the rubber nose for more grip on the face.

Standard Performance line features include 2mm thick lenses that meet ANSI Z.87 mass impact requirements plus a specific arm, with beveled emblems with Rubberized Hytrel® inserts in the arms and nose.

The Quick-Latch side-shield system provides lateral protection from debris and unwanted side light meeting ANSI Z87+ standards with side shields installed.

MODIFIED RUBBER INSERT DESIGN

The Rayth features a modified arm design(exclusive to the Rayth) with a redesigned rubber contact patch that does not wrap around the arm tip. This removes soft rubber from wear areas to both increase arm durability and prevent hair snags. In addition these inserts are raised out of the arm 0.5mm to increase grip.

Heat Wave rubber touch points are made from extremely resilient, sustainable, and safe for the skin Hytrel®(TPC-ET thermoplastic elastomer).

180° RUBBER NOSE

The Rayth encompasses the nose with a full 180-degree wrap-around Hytrel® pad with large contact pads for increased surface area, giving the Rayth maximum grip on the face. Nose pieces are permanently glued in place for added durability.

Heat Wave rubber touch points are made from extremely resilient, sustainable, and safe for the skin Hytrel®(TPC-ET thermoplastic elastomer).

Quick-Latch Side Shields

Patented Quick-Latch side-shield system provides lateral protection from debris and unwanted side light meeting ANSI Z87+ standards.

Side-shields come pre-installed, but are easily removed with the click of a switch making swaps effortless.

Hytrel® ARM INSERTS

Redesigned rubber contact patch that does not wrap around the arm tip removes soft rubber from wear areas to both increase arm durability and prevent hair snags. Rubberized Hytrel® provide a comfortable, non-slip fit that you can wear seamlessly all day long.

10/10 for welding

"These are my 6th pair of sunglasses from heatwave and they quickly became my favorite. I wear them from the morning on my way to work before the sun is out, all day at work outside with the South Texas sun, and throughout the evening and into the night. The transition is beautiful. I’ve never worn yellow tint before but I really like them. No they won’t get black in the sun, but the dark yellow just works really well for me. I can wear them under my welding hood so I’m not having to switch between my dark and clear glasses anymore. Truly a 10/10 and when these need to be replaced I’m getting another pair."

Great safety glasses

"Wore them at work today while sweating my bag off in a 100 degree machinery house. They didn't fog up at all on me while climbing and crawling and wrenching. The yellow is great for driving and working on nightshifts and the transition lenses go pretty dark in direct sun. I'm super happy with them. *I will note that I've got a pretty small head or narrow face, and they still fit and look pretty good, I've owned maybe 6 pairs of the vise model glasses and they are my preferred fit for a smaller face."
