It started with a simple problem: scratched lenses. No matter the brand or how careful you are, scratches always find a way—dust, debris, the workbench, or that one accidental face-down drop. The gauntlet of daily life only needs to catch your glasses once, and your lenses are done.

We developed something to change that.

The Heat Wave Lens Protection Film (LPF) System is a durable, optically clear protective film applied over the lens, creating a sacrificial outer layer that’s more scratch-resistant than traditional sunglass or safety lenses. It absorbs abrasion, wear, and daily abuse—and when it reaches its limit, you simply replace the film, not the lens.

FASTER

At its core is a lens developed from the ground up using advanced manufacturing techniques, allowing for zero horizontal obstructions, improved strength, and a lighter overall system. A molded structural ridge adds rigidity without compromising the clean silhouette.

SMARTER

The design of the Skynet pushes toward a true nothing-but-lens look. Skynet eliminates the traditional frame across the front entirely, integrating structure directly into the lens for added rigidity and reduced weight.

BUILT FOR USE

Only what’s necessary remains—integrated lateral protection fused directly into the lens edge to meet Z87+ standards, paired with our Performance Series arms for the lightest system we’ve released to date at just 1.2 ounces.

1. Ensure lens surface is in like-new condition and clear of defects. Air bubbles may form under the film if scratches, gouges, pits or similar damage are present.
2. Assemble jig and mount glasses. Use microfiber to remove any smudges, dust or debris.
3. Wipe lens down with LPF moist towelette to clean and prep lens surface
4. With film in your hands pull center tab on LPF downwards removing backing from middle ONLY.
5. Promptly apply LPF onto clean jig & lens adhesive side down. Push air bubbles out from center with fingers or small plastic card.
6. Pull left tab slowly pushing air bubbles in outwards fashion with fingers or small card. Repeat process for opposite side.
7. Once film is completely adhered, peel away excess film from glasses and jig - You should be left with only LPF on lens. Work out any small air bubbles. *Tiny air bubbles may exist after initial LPF application but should dissipate within 24 hours.
8. Your Heat Wave Skynet Z87+ are now ready for their next round of abuse and whatever else you throw at them.

Fused lens

Frame ends and nose pad mount are permanently fused to the lens to reduce weight and eliminate the need for hardware giving a striking all lens look.
