Skynet Sunglasses: Photochromic Z87+

It started with a simple problem. Scratched lenses. No matter the brand, scratches ruin all glasses, and it doesn't matter how careful you are - Scratches always find a way. From dust and debris to the hazards of the workbench, all the way down to the ground for your casual and always accidental face down drop. No matter what you do, the gauntlet of daily life just has to reach out and touch them once, and that's it. Your expensive lenses are scratched and your glasses are ruined.

We've developed something to change that. Created within the HWV Special Projects Division, the Skynet is a next-generation eyewear platform designed to take scratch damage head on with a replaceable protective layer Lens Protection Film (LPF) adhered to the lens, acting as a barrier against the everyday hazards. In the event of a scratch or an abrasion, just remove the film and your scratches are gone.

Replacement LPF installs easily using a jig (included with the Full Package, or available separately) and costs a fraction of full lens replacement, keeping your eyewear ready for the next thing life throws your way whether you are a hard at work, or hardly working.

"Bought these for low-light/night riding. The anti-fog works great, grippy arms and nose-piece stay on the face well, fit with my MTB helmet is good. Also use these for jobsite eye protection. The LPF system is rad and was easy to apply. Knocked down one star because the lens plastic is really soft and easy to scratch if you don't clean them properly with soapy water, made the mistake of using provided microfiber bag to wipe off some caked on dirt on inside part of lens (no LPF on inner) and it left small scratches but they're still useable."

"These are easily one of the best pairs of sunglasses I’ve owned. The Skynets look even better in person, fit great, and are comfortable enough to wear all day without constantly adjusting them. The Silver Z87+ lenses are clear, the coverage is excellent, and they feel solid without being heavy. What really stands out is that they don’t make you choose between safety glasses and something you actually want to wear. I can use them around the shop, driving, or just out for the day and they work equally well in all three. Literally saved me from splitting my head open

"I had these glasses on my hatbrim doing yard chores with my dad. He was on the tractor mowing weeds and I was spotting him, making sure he didn't hit anything he wasn't supposed to. What color is the frame on these glasses? In some pictures they look clear and it others they look a dark grey. If you could send me some other pictures that would be great. Thanks!
