If there’s a limit out there, Travis Pastrana doesn’t recognize it. Whether that’s landing the first double backflip, winning championships on two and four wheels, setting world-record jump distances, catching a wicked slide in NASCAR, base jumping out of hotel windows, or sending it over a jump at 150mph, Pastrana has made a career out of innovating across multiple motorsports disciplines and making the impossible, possible. It only made sense that his signature Vector carry that same energy, and make history as the first eyewear to wear a Hoonigan Gymkhana livery, taken straight from the Brataroo.

Beyond the colorway, Heat Wave has worked with Hoonigan on a handful of projects over the years, but getting the call to be part of the newest Gymkhana felt different. Gymkhana isn’t just a video series. It’s one of the most iconic, era-defining pieces of automotive culture. It shaped us creatively, influenced our brand, and set the tone for what it means to go big, take risks, and build with attitude. Getting to put our stamp on such a project with legends as Pastrana and the Hoonigan crew is something we’ll never take lightly. Being able to stand alongside them and contribute to a Gymkhana will forever be one of those “damn, we really did that” moments.

Our lens is injection molded from thick 1.9mm shatter-resistant polycarbonate that is built to withstand Z87 Mass Impact Standards.

Integrated side-shields provide lateral protection and allow the frame to meet ANSI Z87+ requirements.

Each pair of Vector is boldly marked Z87+ on the frame, arm and lens.

Get a GRIP with HYTREL® touch points

Rubberized Hytrel® (TPC-ET thermoplastic elastomer) touchpoints on the nose & arms provide a comfortable, non-slip fit that you can wear seamlessly all day long.

Low profile dual injected arms have been designed for performance across all conditions, allowing for a better fit with headwear from hats, helmets, and hearing protection.

Hytrel® inserts provide a higher resistance to both natural and man-made chemical agents increasing durability and longevity.

Tool Free swappable lens

The Vector uses a replaceable (tool free) shatter resistant mass-impact rated 2mm thick cylindrical shield lens, that is visually broken in two with a louvered nose bridge that locks the lens in place. The rest of the frame is obscured from view behind the lens, where you will find two minimal lens clips protruding through the lens that further secure the lens to the frame’s side shields.

The Vector is unique in looks and fit – As it is designed to be our CLOSEST fitting, performance eye-wear to date, utilizing a completely redesigned Hytrel® nose piece and a forward tilting frame that enable them to sit further back on those nose, and effectively closing gaps on the cheeks. The extremely close fit on the Vector cuts penetrating light, reduces areas for debris to enter, and simultaneously pushes the side shields further back, escalating the field of view.

Light and Flexible: The minimal frame design not only makes the Vector the LIGHTEST Heat Wave frame to date at only 1.3 oz., but also enables them to have outward FLEX allowing them to be more adaptable, and comfortably fit around the head.

The Vector is also available in EXTRA-LARGE fit for larger heads.
